8-channel audio composition for a creek, 3000 nontoxic pool balls, 64 speakers, multichannel hard drive, and 8-channel amplifier

Radio play producer Werner Cee commissioned the work for the sound art festival Hidden Stage. With several high-frequency clicking, crackling and hissing noises, I composed an eight channel audio composition for the stream and installed it in a structure of 3000 groundwater neutral plastic balls and 64 weatherproof speakers. I arranged the balls into three groups around the water basin of a creek on the festival site. The natural site’s given acoustic and spatial aspects were central elements in the work’s composition processes. The sounds of the creek and the surrounding trees were included as an autonomous instrumentarium.
